This is based on a template provided by the CIC regulator for CICs where all members are Directors.
Executive Directors (EDs) are employees of the CIC. In 2024-25, EDs worked between 3 and 4 days per week. EDs all earn the same salary (pro rata as appropriate).
Non Executive Directors (NEDs) are office holders but not employees of the CIC. We pay our NEDs (many CICs do not) at a day rate equivalent to the ED salary, taking into account pension contributions and leave entitlements. Our interim NED Kate worked 2 days per month. In future NEDs may work for 0.5-2 days per month.
