We intend to adopt these community agreements within all Catalyst projects and spaces.
They were created and agreed by the Tech Justice Circle in 2024. We will review these regularly with the network to refine and improve them.

Thanks and acknowledgement to Staci Haines and Healing Justice London and members of the Tech Justice Circle for inspiring and developing these community agreements.

This is a dynamic, living process. We are here to do the work and practice new things. We might stumble but we’ll learn from it together.
If you’re used to talking or leading, give space to others. If you're normally quieter or in supporting roles, step forwards where you feel comfortable.
Turn off cameras (when online) or step away when needed.
You can say ‘I pass’ if you do not wish to speak. Bear in mind the roles we have been conditioned to play when making this choice. Before we pass, we reflect on what is calling us to do so, is it self care or are we practicing a right to comfort.
When speaking, use ‘and’ instead of ‘but’. We all bring different lived experiences to the table. Refrain from blaming or shaming each other.
We make decisions collectively, our voices matter and each of us builds. We all bring valuable lived and professional experience to the table and move collectively. We make decisions collectively, our voices matter and each of us builds a stronger whole.
We support each other to be experimental by working and learning in the open.
